Beijing Olympic, a Desecration of Human Rights?

By now, we should all realize that Olympic is just another ploy for the gigantic multi-nationals, whom for the sole purpose of profit margin and bottom line would stop at nothing to realize the Beijing Olympic, especially when there are potentially 1.25 billion customers! Despite the recent protest at Olympic flame-lighting ceremony and other Tibet-related protests worldwide, the IOC would not consider on the possibility of boycotting the once-in-four-year event. Primarily designed for the multi-nationals to cash-in during the event, the IOC argues "it" has nothing to do with human rights and social injustice. Is that really so? Especially, when the event has been earmarked for its triumph in equality amongst all inhabitant of Earth, from any nation and any race, to fairly compete in any recognizable sport event. And, what about its Para-Olympic? To let physically-challenged athletes to compete in equally recognizable sport event. One thing for certain, Olympic promotes equality and equality symbolizes human rights and social justice. To uphold this sacred once-in-four-year sport event without justifying its true motive is truly a desecration of human rights and an embarrassment to all Olympians since its inception. Shame on you, IOC!
